Idle Microbes Privacy Policy

Idle Microbes is a game published by Formalized Chaos ("we"). This policy explains what information the game handles and what happens to it.

Summary

Idle Microbes has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. It does not use your microphone, camera, photos, or files. Your game progress stays on your device. The only information that leaves your device is a feedback note, and only when you choose to send one.

Information stored on your device

The game saves your progress, your settings (such as volume and motion preferences), and a record of completed runs in the game's private storage on your device. This data is not sent to us or to anyone else, and the game does not back it up to the cloud. The Start Over option deletes your saved progress; uninstalling the game deletes everything the game stored.

Feedback notes

The game includes an optional "leave a note" feature. If you write a note and send it, the game sends:

• the text of your note, and
• a short context line: the game version, the operating system name (for example "Android"), the number of cells in your colony, and which part of the game you have reached.

The note is not linked to your name, email address, Google account, or any device identifier. Do not include personal information in a note unless you want us to have it.

Notes are delivered through Google Forms and stored in a Google spreadsheet that only we can access. As with any internet request, Google receives your device's IP address when the note is sent; Google's handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We use notes only to fix problems and improve the game. We do not sell or share them.

If a note cannot be sent because you are offline, the game keeps it on your device and tries again later.

Purchases

Idle Microbes is sold through Google Play. Google processes your purchase; we do not receive your payment details. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles purchase information.

Children

Idle Microbes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information in a feedback note, contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

Your saved game is on your device and is deleted when you uninstall Idle Microbes. We never receive it.

To delete a feedback note you sent:

1. Email support@formalizedchaos.com with the subject "Idle Microbes data deletion".
2. Include the approximate date you sent the note and some of its wording, so we can find it. Notes carry no name or account, so this is the only way to identify yours.

We delete the note and its context line from our spreadsheet within 30 days and reply to confirm. We keep no copy. Feedback notes are the only data about you that we hold, so nothing else is kept.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling information differently, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
